SILAOEl Cerro del Cubilete (Top Hat Mountain) is the geographical center point of the country. On the highest peak of its 2,500-meter height rests the gigantic monument to Christ the King, representing the unity of the Mexican people in the Catholic faith. The statue dominates the approaches to Guanajuato, Leon and Silao from its vantage point, where it is also possible to go hang gliding. The area also has numerous wells providing water for various water parks and bathing areas.
